    Facts about the University of Oregon

    Several sources of information about the university are available and should be used to double check facts you cite in your text such as enrollment, number of faculty or staff members, size of the campus, budget figures, and historical information.

    Verify official names of buildings and areas on campus. Make sure academic ranks and titles of personnel you name are accurate. Following are a few references and offices you can use as resources.

    The printed UO Catalog is the official statement of the university concerning curriculum, graduation requirements, admission, tuition, and faculty members including emeriti.

    The UO Telephone Directory includes current university employees except undergraduates.

    The Office of the Provost publishes the UO Faculty Handbook for academic and administrative employees except graduate teaching fellows.

    The Office of Human Resources publishes the UO Staff Handbook for classified employees.

    The Erb Memorial Union publishes the UO Student Directory
    The Office of the Registrar publishes the UO Schedule of Classes and a comprehensive quarterly report about enrollment.

    The Office of Resource Management publishes an annual report for use by university offices and copublishes a president's report for external distribution.

    Information about the campus including buildings, grounds, and maintenance is available from the Office of University Planning.

    Information about the Oregon University System can be obtained from the Office of the Chancellor.
